I Love Color. I love going into art shops and seeing all the color. We are back in Colorado, for me one of the best times of the year. The training on Gold Peak is the best anywhere in the world this time of year. Now with injected lanes, we have it all. My back is really starting to get into ski shape. I am looking forward to racing in Copper tomorrow. The snow is grippy in Copper so it takes some adjusting after skiing the injection for the last couple of days.
Lasse has been so energetic, and he has been able to ski with Tasman, Sasha Rearick’s (Men’s Head Coach) son. Tasman is really ripping, Lasse needs some on snow time to catch up. Can’t wait until Vail Mountain opens up so he can start skiing everyday.
Federico got to take some turns on his new Rossignol “the experience” snowboard yesterday. He raved about the board. Said he can’t wait to ride it in Europe. He is a little hesitant about snowboarding in the racer scene, because he feels it’s not accepted. It’s kinda funny how free-ride has a scene, snowboarders have a scene and then you have the “race” scene. I am such a racer. Anyway, he has to snowboard, I won’t let him ski. After tearing two ACL’s and a MCL, in the last two years of his return to skis, it is back to the snowboard.
Come watch me race in Aspen. (Thanksgiving Weekend) It will be a great adventure and the race is always fun. See you on the slopes. Sarah Here is a photo of my new helmet and suit from the first few gates of Sölden on the first run.
